{Fall 2010 Family Mini Sessions} Get ‘Em While It’s Hot!

Saturday, October 9:  Family Portrait Mini Sessions – $200

(Rain date of Sunday, October 10) at a Virginia Beach or Chesapeake park, location TBA
I am pleased to announce 2010 Family Mini Sessions. This is a great opportunity for 2010 clients who would like to get just a few more photos in time for the holidays. It is also a nice opportunity for those families who have not been able to book with me due to my busy schedule. Sessions will be booked on a first come, first served basis and I do anticipate them going quickly. To book a session, please email me at amy@amysandovalphotography.com or click on the word “Contact” at the top of the blog to send an email for details. A deposit is not required but you will be given a time slot and asked to commit to it. Final payment will be due on the day of the sessions and can be made by check or credit card. I am really looking forward to catching up with current clients and meeting new ones.

Sessions Include:
  • 15-20 minute session for up to 2 children or one immediate family
  • 10-15 fully processed, high-resolution digital files presented in a private online gallery and given to you via a downloadable link from the gallery (suitable for printing, enlarging, etc.)
  • Printing tips and release so you can print the images and/or use them for photo cards, etc.
  • 5-day ordering period for holiday cards, etc. (additional products are an additional fee)
Amy Sandoval Photography holiday card designs will be available to use with the photos from your mini session. Holiday cards are not included in the session fee. Only photographic cards will be available for purchase with mini sessions (not press-printed cards). Photographic cards are priced at $1.50 for the first 100 cards and $1.25 a card for additional cards.

Location
:
I will announce the location within a month of the sessions. I have several options in mind and want to see which one has the most fall color potential when the date gets closer. It will either be a park in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake.

Tips:

  • Be on time!  These sessions are booked with very little down time between them. If  you are late, you will have less time for your session.
  • If possible, please reserve the time you are assigned for Sunday, October 10 as well. That will be the rain date if we have bad weather on Saturday, October 9.
  • Due to the time restrictions, we will focus on capturing a specific shot – family shots, individuals of two children or less, sibling shots, etc. If we have time after we have gotten that shot, we will set-up additional shots. Obviously we won’t be able to get as many shots as a typical session, so come prepared to tell me which groupings are most important to you.
  • Because of time and location limitations, mini sessions are not available for babies that are not able to sit unassisted or clients looking for a variety of poses or multiple backgrounds or outfits. (If you have a baby and would like family photos, that will work. I just won’t have my props there to “prop” up baby for individual poses!)
  • Mini sessions are perfect for clients who have already had a full session but need just a few updated shots or are thinking about holiday card photos.
  • Watch the blog for tips on what to wear – I will be previewing some fall wardrobe tips when the weather gets cooler. (There will not be time for wardrobe changes.)
  • For the best printing results, you will want to use the lab recommended on my printing tips sheet, which you will receive when your online gallery is ready.

Quite Possibly the Best Holiday Card Evah!

I posted a totally fun photo from a mini session a couple of weeks ago and had to share the final Christmas card. This is my favorite card this season – this card is what fun is all about. We got some lovely, quiet, lady-like poses from these girls, but at the end of the day, THIS was the photo that defines who they are as a family. These sisters know how to have fun!

And Mom found the perfect greeting to accompany the card, too!

Some of their other session photos follow. The middle child gets to be first this time – because middle children never get to be first!

Hi Amy,

I just stumbled on your website and wanted to let you know that I think it looks great. Nice looking layout and beautiful pictures, by the way. Keep up the good work. I just bookmarked it for future reference.

The Debut of the 2008 Holiday Cards…Just in Time for Halloween!

Not yet Halloween, but I already have clients who have their holiday cards in hand!

November 9 is the last session that will guarantee holiday delivery of prints, cards and goodies, so now is the time that most clients will be thinking about cards. For those I photograph in October, you can order cards when you complete your session order. For any clients I’ve photographed this year, if you’d like to order cards using photos from your session, give me a call or drop me an email and we’ll put something together!

I have several new designs available this year, in addition to designs available in previous years. You can check out all of the holiday card designs by going to www.amysandovalphotography.com and clicking on the “Seasons Greetings” gallery – there are 20 designs total. All are shown as 5×7 flat photo cards – but press-printed folded cards are available in many of these designs as well. Ask for details!

All designs are customizable – you can customize colors, fonts and the message.

Here are the new designs for 2008 – I love the vintage feeling to them.
