Boudour Photography in Virginia: She’s Got Team Spirit

Ladies, our men love their teams. Love ‘em. And they’d like nothing better than to see you support the team. Check out how this client put together the cutest and sexiest look full of team spirit for her soon-to-be husband. He’ll get the album on his wedding night. Lucky man, huh?!

Interested in booking a session? I still have marathon sessions available on Saturday, June 12 at one of my favorite locations to date. (Marathons are when I do several sessions on the same day in one location – but not at the same time of course!) Sessions include hair/makeup with Krystal, my awesome makeup artist who also works magic on hair. Yes, makeup and hair are included with each session! Full details and pricing information available at www.curvesboudoir.com

P.S. More peeks from this session coming soon. Thanks to my client for giving me permission to share these!

Stunning!

Photographing the Photographer: A Southern Virginia Beach Family Portrait Session in the Cotton Field

Twice in the past few weeks I’ve been asked  by very talented photographers to do sessions for them. It’s an absolute honor. And of course I get a little more nervous than normal (I get nervous before every session but in what I think is a good way – it drives me to do more, be better!). Amanda McGhee of Kimberlin Gray Photography contacted me about a family session. As a busy photographer, she realized she was always behind the camera, never in front of it.

We kept talking about locations – both of us wanting to do something different and beautiful. As you may remember, I shot a mini session with my daughter in the cotton field a few weeks ago. When Amanda saw those photos she knew that was the perfect spot. I’m so glad she mentioned it because it gave me the opportunity to talk to the owner of the field. I learned that the land had been in that family for years and years. They planted to cotton late, not expecting it to bloom much – normally it blooms in the fall. But much to their surprise, it bloomed as beautifully as ever. And they are not going to use the cotton this year, so they were more than happy for us to tromp through their field!  So we arrived with furniture, a bag full of camera gear and two children eager to explore the field.

This session was everything a good family session is – fast, blurry at times and absolute fun. The kids run the show at times, the adults run the show when the kids let us and before you know it you have a collection of images that tells a wonderful, warm story of a family full of love. Thank you, Amanda, it was a honor – and a pleasure!
