Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads Newborn Portrait Photographer: Little Connor

Little blue-eyed Connor came to visit my home studio a couple of weeks ago with his mom and dad – I shared with you his sweet detail collage and a little snapshot from the session – here are a few more. For such a little guy he was really interested in the camera and as you’ll see in the images below he even looked right at me for some of his photos. Those sweet blue eyes are definitely windows into his soul. Although he wasn’t sure he wanted to miss out on all the excitement, eventually he was lulled into a milk coma and fell asleep. We swaddled him right up and I took his little detail photos. I love the last photo where he’s stretched out like Superman. I was so impressed with the calm care that mom and dad brought to this session. You’d never guess Connor was their first little guy!

Post Peek: A Backlit, Organic Newborn Session in My Virginia Beach Studio

You’ve seen a couple of mini peeks into this special newborn session and here’s a larger post-peek. I’m changing things up a bit with sneak peeks this year and showing just a couple of images before clients receive their galleries. This means clients get their galleries faster most of the time because they’re not waiting for me to resize and post sneak peeks. I also love that their galleries are even more of a surprise since they see fewer images up front.

I’ve photographed several newborn sessions in my home studio now and really love the organic, modern feel that it creates in the images. The focus of your eye goes immediately to the beauty of the family connections and the sweet babies. Having photographed his big brother around the time he turned a year, I knew this would be a great session. This session was the ideal mix of awake and sleepy baby! He was awake for the family photos and then fell into a slumber for the detail shots. And with such an adorable big brother and amazing mom and dad, his life is going to be beautiful! I can’t wait to see them all again in the fall for their next family session.
